76th Brigade Departure Ceremony
Two songs were specially written
for the 76th Brigade by SSG Les Newport, now attached to the 76th
Public Affairs office, formerly assigned to the Public Affairs
Office at Joint Forces Headquarters.
The two songs,
"Nighthawk"
and
"When I Chose to be a Soldier", were played at the brigade
departure ceremony on January 2, 2008, at the RCA Dome.
SSG Newport has requested these
songs be made available to you without cost, though he would ask
that those who are able to do so, donate to the
Indiana National Guard Relief Fund at
